Global Survey Highlights Growing Focus on Skin Quality

A global survey commissioned by Galderma has found that nine out of 10 people experience skin quality concerns, with many reporting that these concerns affect their quality of life.
The survey of more than 11,000 people across 11 countries found that 91% of respondents had experienced at least one skin quality concern in the previous month, with an average of two concerns each. The most common were fine lines and wrinkles (41%), dry skin (40%) and dull skin (37%).
The survey also found that 85% of respondents said skin quality affected their quality of life, while more than one in three reported feeling self-conscious, insecure or anxious because of poor skin quality.
Galderma says the findings informed the development of its new Skin Quality Assessment Scale, designed to support more personalised assessment and treatment planning in clinical practice.
