Professor Sebastian Cotofana to bring live anatomy experience to Edinburgh
07/05/2025 • by The RAM Institute
Professor Sebastian Cotofana will lead a two-day educational event combining live injectable demonstrations, ultrasound and cadaveric dissection at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh on 21-22 November 2026.
The Anatomy and Injection Experience, delivered by Cotofana Anatomy in collaboration with RAMI Partner, the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN), will bring its international educational programme to the UK this November.
Designed to connect anatomical knowledge with clinical practice, the event will allow delegates to observe live treatments alongside cadaveric dissection, exploring how facial anatomy influences assessment, injection technique, product placement and patient safety.
The first day will connect three live educational environments: an auditorium, clinic and anatomy laboratory. Delegates will observe injectable treatments and ultrasound examinations while Professor Cotofana undertakes live cadaveric dissection, revealing the underlying anatomical structures. The interactive format will also provide opportunities to ask questions and engage directly with the faculty.
Practitioners seeking further practical experience can attend the Advanced Cadaver Masterclass on the second day. This will offer hands-on dissection in small groups, with a 5:1 delegate ratio, allowing participants to examine facial structures and develop their three-dimensional anatomical understanding.
Delegates can choose to attend the first day as a standalone experience or register for the complete two-day programme.
All participants will receive one month’s complimentary access to Professor Cotofana’s online educational platform. Those attending the full programme will also receive a copy of his Manual for Facial Anatomy Courses and official course certification.
They will also be invited to an exclusive faculty dinner in the heart of historic Edinburgh, providing an opportunity to spend the evening with Professor Cotofana and the faculty in a more informal setting.
The event is open to all qualified medical professionals, with BAMAN membership not required.
